Since May 2000, Shelley Hoss has led the Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF) on its mission to transform our community’s heartfelt intention into greater impact for good.

Under Hoss’ leadership, OCCF has become one of the largest and fastest growing community foundations in the nation. With charitable assets topping $675 million, OCCF grants more than $100 million annually, making it the 7th most active grantmaker among more than 800 U.S. community foundations. In 2023, OCCF crossed the rare milestone of more than $1 billion in grants and scholarships awarded to charitable causes in Orange County, across the nation and around the world.

As OCCF celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, it also celebrates significant milestones of impact in Orange County, including surpassing $25 million raised through its iheartOC Giving Days and the 10th anniversary of OC Nonprofit Central, Orange County’s only online database of in-depth information on more than 600 local nonprofits.
