John M. Williams III

John M. Williams is a partner in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s Orange County office where he has spent more than 25 years as a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Practice Groups. As an active member of his community, John has a served as a board member and volunteer with a number of different non‐profit organizations.  He has been an active volunteer for the Boys Scouts of America and previously served as a member of the boards of directors of Court Appointed Special Advocates and the Ocean Institute (where he also served as the Chair of the Board).  Presently, he is involved with the Boys & Girls Club of America where he has provided pro bono legal assistance to the national organization as well as sitting on the Advisory Board of the Boys & Girls Club of Capo Valley.  In addition, he is involved with the University of California at Irvine where he is the Chair of the Social Sciences Dean’s Leadership Society (a group that supports academic initiatives of the Dean) and was recognized in 2017 as the Outstanding Alumni from the School of Social Sciences.
