Christopher D. Tower is a retired Partner and former Executive Team Member of BDO USA. Throughout his distinguished career, with more than 40 years in the field of public accounting, Christopher has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to audit quality, oversight, and advancing sustainable business practices. In his most recent role, as BDO’s ESG Strategy and Services Leader, Christopher was instrumental in delivering Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and sustainability services to clients. His responsibilities included defining BDO’s ESG vision and policies, integrating sustainable practices into the corporate culture, and leading the ESG Leadership Team and Center of Excellence. Christopher was also a key member of BDO’s Executive Team, tasked with determining and communicating the firm’s strategic priorities and opportunities for sustainable growth. In his prior roles, Christopher provided audit services to public and private companies in a wide variety of industries, and subsequently oversaw the Western Region Audit Services Practice and the Assurance Services National Office of BDO. Beyond his professional achievements, Christopher is deeply committed to philanthropic efforts, particularly in environmental advocacy, conservationism, education, and the arts. In addition to serving on the Board of Governors at the Orange County Community Foundation, he serves as a Board Trustee for the African Wildlife Foundation, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and Pacific Symphony.
