Safety & Service:
First and foremost, we are taking all the recommended precautions to minimize the risk to everyone in the OCCF family. In accordance with health guidelines, we will be postponing all OCCF events through July, and all upcoming meetings scheduled to take place at our offices will now be held virtually. Impacted individuals and groups will be notified directly. If you have questions about an event you were planning to attend, please reach out to us at (949) 553-4202, or email any member of the OCCF team.
OCCF staff will remain as available as always, but members of our team may be working remotely over the coming weeks. None of the OCCF services you rely on will be disrupted during this time. If you are a donor, you will be able to contribute to your fund and make grants as usual.
Commitment to our Community:
In partnership with a coalition of Orange County funders, we have helped launch the OC Community Resilience Fund to quickly and strategically deploy funds to tackle the growing impact of COVID-19 on our most vulnerable communities.
To date, the Fund has now deployed an incredible $4.18M into the community – to 162 organizations representing nonprofits, community health clinics and support for individuals.
To everyone who has contributed: Thank you for putting your compassion into action. Your extraordinary response allows us to tackle the unprecedented challenges facing our local nonprofits, and all those who depend on them.
At this juncture, the OC Community Resilience Fund has completed its initial purpose of providing rapid response to a sudden surge in community need amid the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we know significant challenges and uncertainty remain. We will continue supporting relief efforts through our communications, the Fund website, webinars, and other means. While the Fund is no longer accepting grant applications, we intend to tailor the Fund’s response and investments as we move into this next phase of the crisis. From here on out, we’ll seek to support ongoing recovery efforts and rebuilding of capacity to serve our community’s needs.
