OCCF’s Help Them Home Giving Day takes place on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. This 24-hour collaborative online giving day will support 25 OC nonprofits working to combat homelessness and its devastating impact on our community.
Homelessness is a crisis many people in our community are facing. According to the Everyone Counts 2022 Point in Time Summary, there are nearly 6,000 individuals, including veterans, families with children, and seniors, experiencing homelessness in Orange County. Read the full report to learn more.
ConnectOC, an initiative of the Orange County Community Foundation, recently provided an overview of housing concerns that highlight how the high cost of living and unemployment create extraordinary challenges for people living in poverty in Orange County. Each nonprofit involved in the Help Them Home Giving Day is working to end homelessness in our community. They work directly with Orange County’s most vulnerable populations, providing access to housing and resources to create lasting stability for individuals and families.
